I installed a large can with cyclone separator at the planer. The planer is the largest contributor to the dust collector, so separating the shavings at the source should maker it easier to maintain the dust collector. The top lifts right off, when the dust collector is off, or the gate is closed.
If you use the planer, empty the can. Please empty into the dumpster and not a trash barrel. Or else then empty the trash barrel.
