This is a beginner level class that covers the basic use of lathe tools and best practices with the lathe itself, focused on turning a small bowl with a fitted lid. You do not need to have taken spindle/bowl turning before this class. During this class we will cover the different tools and how to sharpen them, as well as several different project mounting techniques (including mounting bowls on tenon, as opposed to mounting on mortise in the bowl turning class.)
