Everything is a box! From bookshelves to cabinets, much of woodworking revolves around the fundamental structure of the box. This beginner-friendly class focuses on the core woodworking techniques of box construction. You’ll build a basic open-topped box while learning essential skills: precise length cutting, creating rabbets, mitering corners, and cutting grooves. We’ll primarily use the table saw, but also explore other tools for achieving similar results. These fundamental skills will empower you to tackle a wide range of projects, from custom boxes and drawers to bookshelves and cabinets. No prior experience necessary!
Thanks to @Kasper for his work in designing this class. Austin is a skilled woodworker who is extremely excited to help bridge the gap between “Woodshop Safety” and “What in the world do I build now that I have access to all of these cool tools?” The skills you will pick up in this class are invaluable for new and intermediate woodworkers. (And who knows, maybe “old dogs” could pick up some new tricks as well!)
