I need help getting the fiber laser into storage. This is not just large, it’s heavy and no longer on its shipping pallet. There’s the chiller and the laser source itself. There’s also the t-slot extrusions, but those are mainly just a length problem.
I don’t see how to get it lifted in and out of a pickup bed for the chiller, due to its weight.
The storage unit isn’t far, Lamar just north of Braker, but it does close at 9pm.
What is the exact request? I can’t tell if you need manual labor or a forklift. Happy to help if it’s labor.
How heavy is it? Four people working together can manage 400 pounds; only proper equipment can move 2000 pounds.
The chiller has a lift point. It’s on a dolly right now but yeah it’s really heavy.

Uhaul truck has a ramp.
I just looked at these. Four people could probably lift the laser, perhaps not easily. The chiller is more doubtful. But two straps with our engine hoist would easily lift either item, especially since the chiller has four hoist anchors on top. And they roll quite easily, so a ramp is an easy option.
Is the chiller still at the space?
Yes, they’re still at the space.
Renting a UHaul would be pretty extreme. It’s just the laser and chiller.
I also need to be able to unload it at storage. The storage area is a blind alley, it’s hard to get a trailer out.
A Uhaul with a ramp sounds like it would be your best bet.

I have a Toyota 4runner that can pull a trailer. I have moved a lot of heavy items.
I have worked as an iron worker and a manufacturing engineer moving companies.
Well I just realized I can make the case that we may need that big chiller right now as it can replace multiple chillers in the laser room. The chiller was the super heavy part. The fiber laser source is still heavy, but not nearly as much of a prob as the chiller.
