Need help fixing a Prusa printer (willing to pay)

I have a fairly new Prusa Core One+ that has started having some issues.

I’m pretty sure the issue is caused by a nozzle clog, but it could also be something wrong with the extruder gear.

What happens is that my printer will start failing to extrude any material, and I’ll hear a clicking sound as the extruder gear starts to grind into the filament.

I performed a cold pull, but this did not fix the issue.

I am hoping that I can get this running without having to order any replacement parts, as I need to use this printer for some time sensitive projects.

If anyone here is experienced in troubleshooting and fixing prusa printers, I’d really appreciate a hand.

I can bring the printer into Asmbly if needed.

Anyway, would be grateful for any help with this.

What is the filament material and at what temperature was the printer chamber at when the issue happened?

Plain PLA printing at 225C

I suspect that a partial clog occurred a while ago when I was experimenting with some PHA filament, which can be a tricky material.

did the printer purge successfully when switching to PLA? or did it come out with blobs or stop immediately?

Purged fine as far as I remember, and ran well for a dozen prints over the course of a few weeks.

Pretty sure I’m just dealing with clogged filter. Ordered a few replacements and a cleaning kit.

then its not the PLA, maybe the PHA temp was too high. Also the PHA must be kept dry - if its not in a sealed container with a desiccant, then stick it in an oven before use to remove moisture

Checking in - how is your printer doing? Any luck figuring out what is going on?

The extruder clicking definitely sounds like a filament jam or clog.

Hey thanks for checking in. Bought a replacement nozzle and it’s printing perfectly. Also bought a nozzle cleaning kit and will try to get the old one fixed up again at some point.
