Need a hand with your ceramics project?

Every week, our amazing Ceramics Stewards On Duty (SODs) dedicate four whole hours to being in the studio just for you! They answer questions, offer feedback, and help you make the most of our space.

These are the people who create our “how-to” signs and wiki pages, teach CSIs, support ceramics events, and keep the studio clean, organized, and thriving. Each SOD brings a unique background and wealth of experience, all united by a deep love for clay and our community.

Got questions about policies, equipment, or techniques? Need a second opinion on your project?Come hang out and chat clay!

Typical SOD times are Tuesdays 6–8PM & Saturdays 12–2PM, but the Event Calendar is the most up to date place to check the schedule.

We hope to see you there!

Here are some recent updates from our stewards!

"We had 3 people for the CSI and a couple of people glazing. I sanded the pegboards, mopped the studio, and cleaned the sinks/put everything in the dry racks away. Answered a few glazing questions too.

Also people keep asking about dipping glazes. The demand is strong :)" - @smartin

“Had a nice SOD shift in ceramics today, met a couple of @GreggWillman’s student’s and saw David producing more of his work. Also, tidied up the tool area a bit ” - Elizabeth
