It would make cleaning up easier if the power cables (specifically: planer, joiner and both table saws), off the floor. It was/and gets dusty under the table saw extension tables. It is difficult to get a broom under the table because of the cables and sawdust vacuum apparati. It would be easy to make a “U” hook under the tables to “hook” the power cables in. Maybe something similar for the sawdust hoses.
Another safety reason regarding the planer/joiner area is that the trash bins (BOTH, today) that hold the sawdust were directly on top of the power cables (BOTH, today). I know that 1. Sawdust isn’t particularly heavy, but I’ve seen heavier pieces of wood in both of the bins at times (heavy enough, perhaps, to damage the cables) and 2. Does anybody, EVER, check to see if the (always, METAL in my experience) trash bins have sharp or rusted edges on the bottom that could nick/cut the cables.
