I policed and curated the aluminum and steel scrap collections tonight, with the junk heading to be recycled soon.
I think the position of the aluminum scrap bin next to the small mill was causing some confusion. A lot of millings got scattered into the scrap from the mill, which perhaps led people to think the bin was for millings and recycling. Certainly there were a ton of pieces in there that were not of potential use to anyone, which is the criteria for going into the scrap bin rather than the recycling bucket. So I’ve moved the aluminum scrap bin into the annex, under the table near the lathe. The recycling bucket remains by the small mill.
