Massive Mini-Workday Success

On Monday the wood shop had our first mini workday. While we were scheduled for two hours, we actually went over three due to our outstanding group of volunteers.

@Johnvaughn took took on the role of teaching how to deep clean the Saw Stop, adjust the rollers on the jointer, and set the fence on the jointer.

Our fantastic volunteers Elizabeth English, @ruppdj Dan Rupp, @EAK58 Eric Kaufman, @LivingOnTheEdgeKupec Steve Kupec, and @berkeleyB Berkeley Beauchot.

We got the dust collector filter blown out, cleaned all the shop vacs, cleaned all the bandsaws, cleaned the down draft sanding table and filters, emptied all the trash cans, and did some much needed sweeping.

Please give these amazing members a hearty thank you

We will be hosting these mini work days twice a month; one in the morning hosted by @Glory2God Michael Doto and one in the evening hosted by @phurfphurf JD our other Wood Shop Lead. Please join us in helping keep the wood shop in top operating condition!

We also made packages with the right size Allen wrenches for rotating teeth on the joiner and setting the height on each side of the rollers on the planer.

And Berkeley completely cleaned and vacuumed out the large belt sander! Woot woot :facepunch:t2::clap:t2::facepunch:t2::facepunch:t2:

I’d love to catch the next one! What time would they be set in the evenings?

You can find all the times and dates for upcoming Volunteer Days on our Google Calendar.

I also have a pretty up to date list in this post!
