One of the latches is missing from the general purpose vacuum in the main metal shop. Does anyone know where it is?

That piece has come off before and is easy to put back on. I’m concerned that the part isn’t somewhere obvious in the vicinity; I hope no one discarded it.
I searched quite a bit Friday and found nothing. A bit orange plastic piece should not be hard to spot, so I think it may be gone for good. Someone else may want to look around that vicinity or more widely too in case I overlooked something…
If it’s still not found, could someone search for a link to a replacement part, or, failing that, maybe even find a design to 3D print or machine a replacement? It would be a shame to throw out an entire vacuum cleaner because one modest part went missing. But there’s also no point in keeping a vaccum that won’t seal properly.
