Took 2 attempts. First I used the wrong wood type, and didnt center the inside hole.
Hand carving the lilypad took awhile, but was the most relaxing part. Maybe shouldnt have had the end grain be the top of the lilypad.
Body and lily is angelique. Handle is walnut. Used a hardwax finish, so mug needs to be dried after each use. Definitely should have wet treated the walnut before finishing, since when it absorbs water little splinters pop out. Also didnt realizes until after finishing that my sanding of the inside of the mug was sub par since it was hard to reach, leaving little catches in the wood.
Overall, very happy with ~20h of work
