I’m a bit tired of scrounging through the big box stores and would like to find some #1 grade yellow pine for my projects.
What are the local recommendations?

Since moving to Austin I’ve used Fine Lumber and G-Town. Fine lumber has a great browsable inventory; I’ve only placed biggish orders for delivery from G-Town but their pricing has been quite competitive.
Neither one lists #1 SYP in their catalog but it wouldn’t hurt to ask.
