Hi all -
the bottom pic is of a planer cutting head. Would it be doable /feasible to mill/late off 4’ or so off the main portion on the right? Just the thicker portion not the whole bar?
I don’t think you have 4 feet of material to remove. 
Are you saying you just want to slightly decrease the radius of the main part? It certainly seems doable. I assume it’s hardened steel, so it’s not trivial, but as long as we can chuck and support it solidly, it should be fine.
I have to ask, what’s the goal? It can certainly be done but more context helps make a better plan.
