This may need a new belt and accessories (live center, safety drive) are worn so would also need to be replaced.
I have one just like this at home and make everything from pens to bowls to decorative pieces on it. It’s a great tool and has not been in the Asmbly line up for a while since getting the bigger lathes. Please let me know if interested. You may come check it out at the lathe station anytime.
