Hey @NickE- If we have time booked on a laser (tarkin) and no one has booked the other (dorian), are we free to use the second for a shorter project at the same time?

Good question, and thanks for asking first. The answer is no, for two reasons.
Booking: all machine use requires a Skedda reservation, and laser policy allows only one active reservation per member. If you’re booked on Tarkin, Dorian isn’t available to you, even if it’s sitting open. Using a machine without a reservation isn’t allowed per the Member Handbook.
Safety: a running laser must never be left unattended. Fires can get out of control fast. You can’t adequately watch two lasers at once, so running both means neither is attended.
