Laser cutting neoprene

Hi, coming back to this. I ended up cutting some neoprene on the laser last night for a project for work as I found in research that for a thin enough material and with a good ventilation system, it should be totally fine (not hitting OSHA limits). But I also read that the laser optics should be cleaned after cutting any neoprene and have no experience or knowledge of how to do that. I’m not planning to cut any more at the moment, but wanted to see what the protocol for cleaning was and if anyone that’s been using Tarkin has been noticing a difference.

It’s unlikely that the optics on Tarkin would be dirtied by neoprene smoke. The lens is protected by air assist.

The exception would b-on Pearl, which doesn’t have air assist and the lens is prone to foul
