Hey you,

All CNC courses from here on out will cover both the large Swift CNC (5’x10’ bed) as well as the small iQ CNC (2’x3’ bed).
Recertification classes are up on the classes page now! These free sessions begin this Wednesday and will be 45 minute sessions with a max of 2 students . Recertification is tailored towards members who are already comfortable using the CNC and simply need to learn the specifics of these new machines including policies that will be in place at Asmbly.
Starting 10/22/22, we will also hold Refresher classes which will be $50 for a 2 hr classes with a max of 4 students. An email and Discourse post will go out when these sessions go live and are available to book.
New Beginner CNC classes are expected to start some time early November. The price for these classes will be $200, so if you qualify for a recertification or refresher course, be sure to grab a spot and save yourself some money!
Only members who have received recertification, refresher, or a new beginner CNC class are authorized to use the new Laguna CNCs at Asmbly.
As a side note, a lot of behind the scenes work has gone into getting these machines at Asmbly. Many members helped make this acquisition possible, but a few members have gone above and beyond. If you see the following members around at the space, please be sure to thank them for all the hard work they put into researching, proposing, receiving, setting up, testing, calibrating, and administrating to fully bring these incredibly powerful new machines online!
