Do we have a JST-PH crimping tool in the Electronics Lab, and if we do, anyone know it’s brand/quality?
We have a box of random crimpers somewhere but the rule of thumb for them has seemed to be “if it’s useful, we don’t have it” – I’d guess they were all donations over the years.
Curation of hand tools in the e-Lab is definitely on the todo list. We added some basics just to get things rolling again, but we need to add storage/organization. If somebody were to volunteer to make drawer organizers (laser or CNC, foam or plywood, with labels etc) we can fund a toolkit project.

For these small pins that just fold over, you’re probably looking for a PA-09. That’s been my go-to tool for all the tiny pin crimps. No ratcheting or leverage, just a quality die.
