Happy Maker’s Market week!
There was a lot going on in the studio today as folks wrapped up and pushed out their last pieces to be fired before the weekend!
Today, I got to catch up with Chloey D who was throwing some plates in Buffalo Wallow. Chloey has a BFA concentrated in ceramics and recently showed up in Austin coming from Tyler, TX. These plates were thrown on the wheel and then the extruder was used to create the neat foot for each piece. This is brilliant because it looks so clean and I’ll be quickly adopted this technique, S/O Chloey.
Make sure to visit our shop during the Maker’s Market. Ya’ll are lucking out this weekend with our shop featuring Chelsey, Gregg, Afran, Diana, Samantha, and Stanton guaranteed (& maybe a last minute addition or two to round out the crew)
Here’s some evidence of our shop in motion: new signage for cleaning, trimmed pots from our beginning wheel class with Jason, and Stanton (for the win) revitalizing our glazing area!
As always, thank you for being a part of what makes my life meaningful! Have fun this weekend!
-Elizabeth
