Hey everyone!
IT Volunteer Day is back, and this time we’re getting hands-on with something exciting — Asmbly’s very own Ceramics application! 
Join us on Saturday May 9th from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM for our next IT Volunteer Day session. Whether you’re a seasoned developer or just curious about how the digital side of Asmbly works, there’s a place for you here.
This month we’re focused on two big themes:
1. POTS! The (upcoming) Ceramics App — We’ll be making progress on the application that supports our ceramics area. It’s currently set up to track shelf space, but we need to get it ready for prime time! We’ll talk about:
- What systems we have to integrate it with
- Testing and verification strategies for AI-assisted code
2. Volunteer app ideas — One of the most exciting directions for IT at Asmbly is empowering you to build tools that interact with our membership and internal systems. If you have an idea, we will walk through it with you and talk about how our APIs and integrations work, so that any volunteer with an idea can start building automations, dashboards, or mini-apps that make Asmbly better for everyone. 
Make sure to bring:
- Your creative ideas!
- Specifics about how it would work - what would trigger an action, how it would get data to drive it, and what actions it would take!
This is a huge opportunity to directly shape the tools our community uses every day. Come with ideas, come with questions, or just come to learn. All skill levels welcome — AI-assisted contributions are encouraged!
