I was using the probe on the Tormach and it was working fine but then it just took off and crashed into the part. The tip broke off before I could stop it. I think maybe the cable came loose from the probe since the connector didn’t seem to seat well to begin with.
I don’t know if it can be repaired.

Got a picture? Did it crash in Z or in X/Y?
It crashed in X/Y - specifically X+
My guess would be that if it crashed hard enough to break the tip off in X, the internals aren’t to be trusted anymore.
Hi - sorry if I missed it, but have there been any updates on the status of the probe on the Tormach?
According to Eric, it was broken beyond repair. This started a discussion about replacing it; we likely will.

The new probe has just arrived but isn’t wired in yet. @jimbojsb, Eric said you could do that sometime? The part is in its box in the top drawer of the Tormach tool box.
