Homework after CNC Topology Class

After each class I take I assign myself a project to use what I have learned. The CNC Topology Class with Mollie on Zoom was good. The next day I decided to reproduce the topology where I had hiked a few years ago and took this photograph with Mount Rainier in the background.

Over the next week I tried to apply what I had learned. I stumbled and bumbled along correcting goofs and errors as I went and learning way more. In the end I managed to make a 20"x24" CNC topology with Mount Rainier in the upper left, the white-dotted hiking trail on the right, and a small spherical white pin in the bottom right where I had stood to take that picture. Leaning down behind the pin and sighting toward Mount Rainier I could feel I was there again. It was a fun project which now hangs on the wall in my office and reminds me of my hike and the class I took.

Brian this looks incredible! I’m still trying to figure out how to get the coast line with the low elevation levels.

@berkeleyB, I would enjoy working with you to get your coast line going with you. What latitude & longitude and size/scale were you wanting? Bri
