Help with Drill Press

Hi all, I need a bit of assistance and guidance on building a wooden coat rack. I’ve attached a video I’m following, and I’ve cut out all the corresponding wooden pieces as seen in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syUEoeTMBjw&ab_channel=MattBork
However, around the 3:19 minute mark, I’m unsure of how to use the drill press and exactly what size bit/dowel I should be using in order to make the appropriate drill holes?

I’m not sure if assmbly provides drill bits for the drill press, if not, could I get input on what type of drill bit I should be purchasing for the Powermatic drill press?

Thank you!

Not sure what our bit selection looks like, but I wanted to offer up that every Saturday from 3-5PM (except next Saturday - too close to the holidays!) there is a steward on duty in the woodshop who can help you handle material and problem solve. @Kasper will be in at 3 today!

There are a wide selection of sizes available on the tool wall. (Some of them are even sharp!) You should be able to find the appropriate size.

In this specific case the type of bit doesn’t matter much. He is using a small forsner bit but a 1/4 twist bit would work fine. You want something that matches the size of your dowl.

If you are physically at asmbly, I’m in the wood shop.
