Help transporting wood from south austin?

Does anyone have a truck/trailor that could help me transport wood from Brazos Forrest Products up to the shop? I’d be happy to cover cost of gas and your time.

Last time I bought from them I was able to put the wood along the passenger side of my car with the trunk open. But this time around I would have to bring my baby daughter in the same car and don’t feel comfortable with that. And unfortunately they don’t cut lumber down to shorter lengths like Fine Lumber will.

When do you need it?

Mollie I’m in Oak Hill. I know where it is and have a truck with a lumber rack: anything 8’ to 16’ is not an issue.

If Charlie can’t help I’m happy to step in.

Thanks so much @cfstaley and @David78737 !!

Are either of you available tomorrow afternoon? If not, I’m flexible on day & time. Brazos is open M-F 8-4:30. I can work around whatever time is best for either of you.

Does mid morning work? I’m off SW Pkwy, so Brazos is my part of town. I’ll be heading up to the makerspace. I try to get my work done by 3 as to avoid Mopac later in the day…

I can probably do mid morning. Around 10? I can get there earlier to pick out the wood and pay.

I can do that if Charlie isn’t free or this works better. I’d like to do that earlier in the day to avoid traffic coming home. I’d like to LEAVE ASMBLY no later than 2:30 pm

I think morning might actually work better. I called Brazos back and they said they can hold the wood for pick up later after I pay. I’ll go down first thing in the morning to put in the order and then it can be picked up when it’s convenient. @cfstaley since you’re planning on coming up to the shop anyway maybe it makes more sense for you to pick up, or it sounds like @David78737 is willing if you’d rather not. I’ll see if @Tanner is available to meet you at the shop to unload.

That works fine. I can pick up around 10. I’ll PM you with contact info.
