This past weekend we had a major improvement in upgrading from the T-Flux and 8” pipes to a Felder RL 350 with 14” pipes, more pipes than flex hose, and wow does it suck!!
While this is wonderful, it still isn’t perfect, and virtually no dust collection system will be perfect in collecting all of the dust. That in mind, don’t forget about the brooms stationed around the workshop that are handy in picking up the remaining dust that floats by.
Particularly around the table saw, back of the jointer, under the wide belt, and so on. Since we don’t have to spend 5 minutes of cleaning for 1 minute of board milling, don’t forget to spend that minute of cleaning for 5 minutes of milling.
Remember, that dust doesn’t go away until someone picks it up.
