I’m wondering if this might might be option at some point? Alternatively there was discussion here [1] about getting a dedicated kiln for heat treatment of steel but it seems like the logistics of fire safety etc. were never ironed out. I figure now that we have a kiln these issues are resolved and would unblock the purchase of steel kiln which I am willing to purchase and host.

I think it would be great to have a kiln for the metal shop. I don’t really have a use case, but it sounds like a great excuse to make something out of tool steel

A kiln for such purposes is definitely on our longer term radar.
