Happy Valentines Day!

I know that food is not really something that is part of our normal maker discussion, but I know that 3D Printing is so here goes…

My wife and I treat ourselves each Valentines Day to chocolate covered strawberries as do many others, but instead of buying them from HEB and other establishments I make my own. Over time I found that dipping those little buggers in hot Hershey’s chocolate is messy and a pain.

So to help with that I designed and 3D printed little green handles that screw into the strawberries after removing the leaves and stems.

Now I can easily make oodles of them for me and my sweetie, and no more burnt fingers!

Each handle is printed as two PLA pieces and super-glued together:

A small project, but something were you can print 50+ on our printers for your loved ones. Happy Valentines day.

P.S. STL files available on Thingiverse as “Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Skewer”.

But are the strawberries real? :strawberry:

For the record, the flowers in the Valentine gift to my wife (below)
are from the genus LEGOus, often found in LEGOLANDia.
Unlike strawberries, eating these flowers is inadvisable.
