Happy National Woodworking Month

The month of April is National Woodworking Month.
So let’s celebrate together by sharing your latest project, favorite wood, favorite technique, or whatever you want to.

Most of all, let’s celebrate each other and Asmbly’s great commitment to our shared passions.

Friends, I made this live edge spalted pecan entryway / console table for a real estate client as a housewarming gift.

It is finished with Rubio Monocoat “Havana” to complement the grey tones in the pecan.

Dimensions are 42” wide x 10-15” deep x almost 1.75” thick; resting on 28” hairpin legs in gunmetal.

My first time buyer client and his wife were thrilled with this gift!

@LivingOnTheEdgeKupec that is absolutely stunning! I’m a massive fan of pecan (especially pecan pie ). The colors and grain just speak to me…and what a thoughtful house warming gift!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece.

My neighbor’s dream is to have her own cafe in her apartment, so we’re making it happen - starting with a sign.

Etched & cut using CNC router (using an open source stack: Debian Linux, Inkscape, Kiri:Moto, and Universal G-code Sender). The wood is oak. Edged smoothed with Dremel rotary tool. Then oiled with linseed oil, and letters painted with “Burnt Sienna” oil paint.

The figure on the oak really pops and I love the rope giving it a rustic feel while not detracting from the focal point of the business name. Great job and I’m glad you shared this :clap:t2::clap:t2::clap:t2::clap:t2:
