Glowforge Basic with issues, giving away to a good home

Hi there, fellow Laser enthusiasts…

I’ve had this GF Basic since late 2019. Last year it began giving me more issues with cutting and engraving and I’m not sure what to do with it. I’ve cleaned everything repeatedly and been in contact with GF and haven’t been able to get it working again properly.

Mechanically, everything moves fine. The laser comes on. But it cuts very intermittently and inconsistently.

Unfortunately, I don’t have more time to mess with it and I really don’t have a good space for it anymore.

So, anyone interested in taking it off my hands? I’d rather give it to someone in this community than outside it.

Will if you just absolutely want to get rid of it I would be happy to take off your hands. I would also be happy reaching out to Danny or resident expert with lasers and see if he has any insight to get it operating correctly.

I would actually love to fix it. But, I just don’t have the space for it in my apartment anymore… plus I need more excuses to come down to ASMBLY and make things :slight_smile: My chessboard project isn’t gonna finish itself!

I am happy to bring it to ASMBLY to meet up with anyone. I still have the original shipping box, which is pretty large, so you’ll likely need an SUV or hatchback/wagon.

Would prefer to do this sooner than later.
