We could use a hand troubleshooting something with the Genie Scissor Lift.
The lift is signaling low battery even after being plugged in for days. The batteries appear to be maintenance-free. Fortunately, you can still use the lift if it’s plugged in, but that can make maneuvering difficult.
If anyone has experience with these things, or knows how to test what appear to be 2 car-sized batteries, we would greatly appreciate it!
Are the batteries actually dead? Is the lift not lasting long even when on the charger for days? I.e. is it a false alarm or is the lift not performing well?
The batteries could be bad, if you take them out batteries plus will load test them for you. How old are the batteries? There should be date code on them.
To check the charging, check the voltage on the batteries when charging and when not charging. I would think that when charging you should see a higher value.
