Fixing My Prusa Mini - Knowledge Share Request

I’m finally attempting to fix my Prusa mini at home today thanks to some time off. (Getting this error: https://help.prusa3d.com/article/mintemp-error-bed-12207-mini_154837)Best I can figure with my limited experience is that the heatbed is messed up. I checked the resistance with a multimeter and was getting a reading of 4.5Ω when it should be 6.5-7. A couple of questions for you experienced folks if you have a second and don’t mind helping with unofficial business:

  1. Is there anything else I should check before I look into buying a new $75 heatbed? (Perhaps a cheaper wire? haha)

  2. Is there a place I should spare Prusa parts from besides their store, or is their store the best bet?

Usually the thermistor goes bad. Check that 1st.

I checked the resistance for the thermistor and it was in the normal range. (Sadly, since that would be a far cheaper fix.)

I have had issues with breaks in the wire causing temp errors. I would wiggle the thermistor wire to test if you get thermal runaway

See: https://www.printedsolid.com - they are Prusa US outlet.

Have noticed the same thing as Joe, the wires in the wiring bundle can break and cause somewhat random failures. Printed Solid has an official bed thermistor replacement for pretty cheap: Original Prusa Heatbed thermistor set (MK3/S/+,MINI/+) – Printed Solid
