If you aren’t following r/3dprinting deals (you should), there is a current deal for 1kg spools of JGMAKER PLA for 9.99 at Newegg. I haven’t used JGMAKER, but I haven’t seen anything negative about them on Reddit or other groups I follow.

I don’t buy anything on plastic spools if I can help it. It’s a good deal though.
I need to run plastic spools as cardboard doesn’t play nice in my X1’s AMS. I could print out some pla “rims” for them, but it’s just one more additional thing that could lead to feed failure. (also the dust from the cardboard can jam up the rollers)
