Failed Print on Sun Wukong

I noticed a 3D print failing on Sun Wukong - filament wasn’t sticking to the pad thingy and was getting all wonky while printing. I obviously don’t know anything about 3d printing but found another member who does. They confirmed it was failing and stopped the print.

Thanks, @AmyMakes! It’s good to stop failing prints both to save filament and to help prevent buildup of globs of goo on the nozzle.

For a print like this with lots of empty space, a brim might be useful in helping it stick. Other things to try are making sure that the build plate is clean and free of fingerprints and the oils from people’s hands, and making sure the Z height is dialed in.

Thanks y’all. This was mine. Seems that printer unit had a low voltage warning that might have caused my issue. Logged a ticket for sunwukong and was able to complete my print on hermes.

Thanks for saving me from wasting a lot of filament !

This particular failure is unlikely to be related to the low voltage warning. This looks like low bed adhesion, not potential interruption of the data.

If the Raspberry Pi is undervolted, it may affect it’s ability to send print jobs, but it wouldn’t affect the printer itself. Otherwise, it would stop if it can’t read the Gcode from the Pi.
