I forgot to post this a while back, but I collected and repaired all the extension cords I could find there. Because extension cords pose several potential hazards, particularly for tripping, we strongly encourage the use of the electrical drops in the shops instead. But we do have two general purpose extension cords mounted on hooks in the shop, one by the garage door and one by the broom corral. The rest of the extension cords, both general and special purpose, are stored in the top of the electrical supplies cabinet. Ask a steward if you need one and cannot find them. Please re-coil and return any cords to their original location when you are done.
