The Evolution Chop saw has been fixed, but we are no longer recommending it as the saw of choice for miters. There have been several accidents while doing such cuts, for the reasons discussed here: Important!: Evolution Chop Saw: Safety Issue, Preliminary Solution
If you are going to do miters on this saw, take great care with the clamping set-up; use the new additional clamp if possible (but note that it is essentially a prototype).
We are currently putting together a proposal to get a Cold Saw, which is similar in nature but should be much safer for all types of cuts.
