Are the end mills and other tooling in the cabinet between the DoAll and the RongFu mill available for use with the Tormach? Or would the wear on that tooling be too much?
While that bench mainly holds tools relevant to the two manual mills, they can certainly be used on the Tormach where appropriate as well. The specialty mill bits in particular might be of interest.
The end mills are certainly also available for the Tormach, but they are mostly cheap crap, the remnants of two old sets donated to us. I paid about $20 for each of my own good HSS end mills; these were part of sets of 20 mills for under $100. I consider them consumables and am not replacing them as they get damaged. There are a couple of nicer mills of oddball size in the second box.
We are moving towards providing mainly indexable tools for the mills. Anything else is just provided as is. If you want to be certain a quality end mill is available, then you should bring your own.
