Are any of you familiar with motion control? Motors?
hmmmm… it depends on what kind of help you need.
I have some experience dealing with different motor drivers, PWM, RC signals, H-bridges, ESCs, etc and PID controls.
I’m not super experienced in sizing gearboxes and motors, so I tend to overshoot in general.
What are you working on?
I just want to educate myself at this point.
Long term, I want to make a Robotic Birdhouse Building machine that could best be described as a CNC hand planer and later other bits of automation.
As in you want to build a machine that builds Birdhouses? That sounds really interesting and a much bigger project than just motor controls, that’s why I’m a bit confused.
I have never built a birdhouse, so I’m not sure how difficult that would be… would 3D printing it be acceptable?
It is just one step in a long journey. (Using recycled fence pickets.)
