I made some modifications to the edge bander today.

1 the wooden table top extension makes the machine top heavy and dangerous. The top take up a lot of space compared to its limited functionality. It also seems to accumulate junk. So I removed it.

2 The casters were attached to a very thin metal foot that was already damaged. There is no way they would stand up to asmbly. I removed them.

If the group disagrees with these changes. The hardware is either attached to the wooden top or in the stewards closet. I will reattach it all.

Agree, that table was super precarious. Thank for doing this!

This tool only works with rolled edge banding that isn’t pre glued, right?

I’m planning to do some cabinets with hardwood edge banding and wondering if this tool provides any benefit.

Thanks @Kasper ! Feel free to toss any busted casters or pieces that may never be used. No need to keep anything “for that one special thing that may come around”.
