Hello! I recently moved into town and dying to get to work in the shop! I’ve been a member of the Noisebridge and TechShop in San Francisco before, so I am familiar with the concept very well.
Is there any chance to squeeze into one of the earlier orientations than the 20th that I’ve signed up for? It looks like I cannot get a membership until I take the orientation.

You are welcome to squeeze into any earlier orientation, as we sometimes give tours to 12+ people. If you aren’t registered, you would simply need to provide your name and email during the tour to count your attendance and help you gain membership.

I’ll offer up that you can take classes without being a member. So for example if you’re trying to get into the woodshop or metal shop, there is a woodshop safety and metal shop safety that we require before tool use.
Classes can be taken before orientations too! If there’s something specific you’re wanting to get into, let us know so we can give you some notes early and get ahead of any admin time.

You might be thinking of Saturday at 3:00 PM; there aren’t orientations on Sundays.
