We still have no information on when the back ordered part to repair the drill press will arrive.
In the meantime, @atwatsoniii was kind enough to lend us a modified jack he had and to rig it up as a temporary support for the drill press table. Its range of motion is technically limited, but it covers the range that’s used almost all of the time.
Please remember to release both clamps before adjusting the height, and to tighten both of them at the new height. Please don’t destroy Al’s jack like the table was.
Al is also working on a base for a new magnetic base drill press vise, and @Julie is making a special T nut for the second vise grip clamp for the drill press table. Many thanks to them.
