I tried emailing the via the webportal’s front door, but i’m not sure that was the right place to ask.
A friend of mine gave me:
32 raspberry pi 3’s with
a rack to hold them,
as well as power supplies rated to run 16 at a time (4 of these),
and a pile of cisco 24 port swtiches,
with network cables and such.
also in the boxes of gear he dumped from his house, was a few year old wireless camera system,
some old spy cameras (i assume),
a pile of usb switches
usb hubs
usb selecors
hdmi switches,
cables for days,
cable managment stuff,
a pair of 24” monitors with stands, ummm…
i think that might be it.
wait. no. also all the fuses, connectors and everything else to wire in said pi’s to power supplies.
now i thin that might be it…
before i dump all of this at the lcoal re-store (habatat for humanity), i wanted to ask if you guys wanted it first. Chiefly because they (re-store) already get a lot of stuff from my wife and i (we grab stuff off of he curb the day before trash day and then paint/tighten/referb it all before dropping it off there to hopfully help people), and i love you guys way more.
I”m pretty bad at checking back in on this chat thread, but i promise to try.
Let me know.
Hi, @MegaSuperFunWow I’ll grab them, I have a few projects I could use them on. Let me know what time works and I’ll coordinate with you. I won’t need it all so I’ll pass the rest on to Asmbly see if they can have a pi specific class or something. or I’ll put on the up for grabs shelf
No idea, it’s all already up there and out of my hands.
I would 100% prefer that Asmbly get everything, use for classes or whatever and then give away whatever is left to whomever.
I certainly hope thats what happened. I’m starting to get the feeling that might not be the case, but again, it’s all already gone. ** crossing fingers and dropping a quick prayer **
I appreciate your projects of repairing and resurrecting disposed objects and giving them a second life for other families. I’m going to look for opportunities like that now too.
I grabbed all of it. I’m going out of town for the weekend and didn’t want to leave it piled up. I’ll start distributing stuff next week. @ctihom will definitely save you one
