Cutting thin stainless steel sheet

Hi all,

Is it possible to cut 26 gauge (0.02 in) stainless steel sheet on any of the lasers at Asmbly?

Can I assume that the Fiber Laser, when it comes online, will be able to cut this stainless steel

Theoretical stainless cutting capacity on the fiber laser will be 8mm. Not sure how ugly that cut would be or if it’d require working gas, but cutting sheet metal should be no problem at all.

The thin stainless might cut really clean with just compressed air? We shall see.

i have a MOPA fiber laser that can do this really well with the right settings

how much do you have? how big is the cutout part? needs to fit within 100x110
