Corded DeWalt orbital sander having electrical issues

The corded DeWalt orbital sander is having some kind of electrical issue – refusing to turn on sometimes, and randomly shutting down. I thought it was loose wiring at first, because it seemed related to the angle the power cord was at. But then I noticed that at least once when I turned it on, the motor moved slightly. So maybe the motor is dying?

I have no idea how electronics work. :person_shrugging:

If it ends up not being fixable, salvage the Velcro backing pad, I just replaced it a couple weeks ago.

Edit: just realized there are two corded sanders. This was the E6421.

I have one of my own, and the switch can get squirrely.
