The main shop compressor is not working and red tagged. This also means that machines and tools dependent on it, such as Dorian, are offline and should not be used.
What other shop tools require the compressor?
People using nail guns or other air powered hand tools, anyone using air to clear chips on the mills (no one scheduled, and there are workarounds). I think Dorian is the only major machine dependent on the compressor.
Thanks for the heads up!
@sheikebab - I noticed you had a reservation for later today. Keep track here of the status.
It’s run very low on oil. Do we have more?
So for now we shouldn’t use the big lasers? I was going to book Dorian since I’m already in the shop, but saw the blue paper notice on it regarding the compressor.
@dannym @stepho
Dorian is the only one hooked up to shop air. Tarkin is fine to use. It was having exhaust issues earlier, but it has been resolved.
We’re going to be hooking Dorian back up to it’s original compressor, so hopefully it won’t be down for long.
Thank you @valerie! I’ll hold off for now
god damn… got all setup and and no air for the nylon pin gun at the CNC. Are there are no compressors around I can use temporarily?
I feel like Ive see a pancake compressor around, but cant for the life of me remember if thats correct.
Which of our hand tools are air powered, in addition to the fiber nailer for the CNC?
I don’t recall a pancake compressor, but the baby California Air Tools compressor we used to use on Red should be in the messy closet.
The nail guns are all that come to mind.
Dorian is back up and running. The Air pump plug is with the exhuast fan plug again.
Got compressor oil, the Atlas Copco is up and humming again!
