Hi Asmbly!
We have an important update about the Ceramics Steward on Duty program.
For over a year, volunteers have generously staffed SOD shifts where they answered your studio questions, kept the ceramics studio clean, and developed systems so it all runs smoothly. Ceramics would not be what it is today without them, and we are incredibly grateful for their time and expertise.
As our studio has grown, members have increasingly been looking for more advanced guidance. With that in mind, we’re retiring the Steward on Duty program in its current form and introducing…
Ceramics Office Hours!
Office Hours will be hosted regularly by @GreggWillman and @JasonSoll and listed on the Asmbly Events Calendar. Ceramics members can drop in for help with techniques, troubleshooting, or project questions. Just book your time in the studio as usual - no additional signup required. Students enrolled in the six-week ceramics course are also welcome to attend, but must coordinate studio time with Jason.
We’re also making volunteering more flexible. Trained ceramics volunteers can now earn free or discounted memberships by helping clean and maintain the studio on their own schedules rather than during designated SOD shifts. If you’re interested in joining the team, check out the volunteer wiki.
Thank you again to everyone who has helped make the ceramics studio such a welcoming and well-maintained space!
