Ceramics Aprons - Clean Them

I know ceramics is a messy job, but someone’s gotta clean those Aprons. We have very limited staff hours to help take care of the logistics, administrative things, and upkeep of the space. Please help them by cleaning your apron. It is not acceptable to leave it on the hanger like this.

That seems less than excellent. I don’t do ceramics but is there a particular way to clean them? Do they need laundering? Thanks!

Hi Rod! You take them into the parking lot, hose them down, and hang them to dry. There’s a hose on the building on the “main road” side.

Unfortunately, the aprons are being retired until folks are capable of treating them well. You can read about it here: Studio Aprons Are Being Retired (For Now)

Thanks Sid. Do these same people not wipe their bottom after going number 2? I saw the other post about folks not cleaning up metal chips from some machine. I assume the membership has considered looking at Skedda and video to find out who was using the equipment and not cleaning up after themselves?
