I’m looking to work on a car paint job and was wondering if the makerspace has any facilities that allow for this kind of work. Do we have a designated area for car paint projects, or is there an affiliated space with the proper setup for painting vehicles?
Any info or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Hi @Lotus , thank you for asking before committing to this here. I wish we could accommodate this kind of work well but we don’t have the workspace for it.
Any painting or finishing with VOCs (paints. Sprays, lacquers, polyurethanes etc) must be done outside and are fine as long as any mess is cleaned up and paints don’t get on the pavement or sidewalk.
Supposedly the diy auto shop has a booth according to their sign. It doesn’t show up on their rates page. https://diyatx.com/ I am looking through my messages for place you can rent a booth in Houston. You will have to Google it.
