Are you looking to get Dusty? Contribute to the backbone of the wood shop? Keep reading!
Starting at noon today, Sarah and I started breaking down the dust collector filters to take outside for a deep clean. Evan literally jumped in to help us get every last filter out of that unit.
It took us about an hour and a half to shut down, empty out, clean off, put back, and then clean up after ourselves outside and inside. This was also a pretty fast-paced set of work right in the middle of the day. I don’t recommend starting at noon!
This is something that has to happen every month. It will be Dusty, it will be dirty, you will need a dust mask. If you can get a team of four or less people and match our time, safely, with good quality results, I will buy that team lunch to Ka Prow.
This Friday! August 31st at 9am we’re going to get started!
Sarah and I need some folks to help us out. My offer for free lunch stands if there’s a team that can beat our time. I’m good to take the team out when the work is done for a well earned meal.
Unless planned ahead, up-to the first four volunteers will be Team <insert_team_name_here>. Must be ready to rock by 9am so we can beat the heat.
Things to bring
sunglasses or safety glasses
Dust Mask. You cannot participate without this.
It’ll be dusty (see above photos)! But it’s great to keep the DC free and clear of that fine stuff that has worked itself in over the last few weeks.
