📣 CALLING ALL GUlTAR MAKERS

Hey all,

I’m curious — are there any folks here who do guitar work in the woodworking space? I’m getting into it myself and would love to connect with others who have experience or interest in anything from repairs and mods to full builds.

I’m also open to collaborating or just chatting shop if anyone’s into that. Always happy to learn and share ideas.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

P.s if you know anyone that also does guitar work, please @ them in this post.

I don’t know specific names, but I found chunks of CNC scrap on the scrap cart that had a guitar body shape taken out of them, if anyone knows who made those recents scraps!

IDK if he checks Discourse but there’s a regular in the woodshop working on guitars, Louis Weyrich. His bookings usually mention guitar work.

What kind of guitars are you looking to do, electric, acoustic, both?

I know more theory. I took a class a year ago on how to setup and repair a guitar, but decided there’s too many specialty tools and jigs for me to start making them.

One day though, I’ll make an acoustic!!

The motivation is great. Keep it coming

Thanks sir I’ll look into it

At the moment I want to repair some electric guitars, because some have broken headstocks and I want to reattach them.

After that i really want to try and make a acoustic from scratch, look challenging and fun!
