Asmbly is installing a new dust collection system, and this is a big upgrade for shop safety, air quality, and the overall member experience. To make it happen, we’re inviting our amazing member community to jump in and help with the install.
Volunteer Days: February 20, 21, and 22 Skills welcome—but not required! Whether you have experience with mechanical work, electrical, fabrication, or you’re simply willing to lend an extra set of hands, your help makes a real difference.
If you’re available for one day—or all three—please sign up here: [Click here to sign up]
As always, Asmbly exists because of its members. Thank you for showing up, pitching in, and helping build a better makerspace together.
Friday and Saturday will be our busiest days. If you can be here for only one day, please pick one of those. If you can be here only two days, please shoot for Friday and Saturday.
We got a few responses to this from folks saying “Just willing to learn!” Thank you!! You will learn some cool stuff in this process. I encourage anyone to be out here with a willing to help mindset.
Also, tomorrow (Thursday 6pm) i’m hosting a informational and planning session for that weekend. Full details here.
Hi I’ve been traveling but interested in helping where I can. Would I be able to drop by and help today or tomorrow?
If so is there a time range in which folks are working?
My skills are: I can do what im told and lift things
Edit just saw this in another thread:
“I want to help out! When do you need me?”
Friday at 0800 and Saturday at 0700 and onward. Friday and Saturday will be our busiest days though we will need help on Sunday to test everything. We need some people available Friday morning but we’ll need most of the help on Friday afternoon and evening.
“What do I bring?”
Bring a dust mask and some gloves if you’ll be handling the pipes. They are all aluminum and have sharp edges.
“Will there be food?”
Yes there will be food! @sarahmartin is hooking us up with good eats for breakfast lunch and dinner all three days.
”Do I need to sign up?”
Not really but if you do it will help make sure we can plan well, particularly for food. You can sign up on the link here.
“Can I bring a guest?”
Absolutely!! The more the merrier.
